Dundee West End

The West End of Dundee has a fab range of retail shops and businesses , many are long established , many are small independent traders catering for the needs of a diverse community. Part of the fun of the West End of Dundee commercial sector is taking the time to explore and browse what is available – to that end I have decided to list the shops and traders by geographic area as opposed to categorising by type.


The three areas are Perth Road , West Port / Tay Street and Blackness Road – nb if you are in a hurry to find something in particular it will still be possible to search for specific businesses using the search feature of this site..

Perth Road Shops

The Perth Road area is a pretty long stretching one – so one of the first things a potential shopper could benefit from is parking knowledge – if you are just popping in for half an hour to an hour there is ample street parking – there are council street parking meters – 60p for 20 minutes – up to £1.20 for an hour.

If you are planning to have a good old shop and perhaps some lunch or coffee – then the following could save you some money and a parking ticket ! If you are close to the town centre end of the Perth road then there is long term parking in the Wellgate Centre – this is a pay for carpark.
